By best I mean best brand and best quality tv. I was also wondering which is better LCD or plasma. I want to get my boyfriend a tv as a present when he gets back from iraq and Afghanistan. He’s been wanting a good 50 inch so i’d really appreciate any ones advice. money is not an issue.

thinking about purchasing a tv. i’ll be playing video games and watching satellite. i want something that will last. i heard that plasma’s don’t last that long so what would the life span on a plasma be compared to a lcd? i’ll probably be sitting around 4-5 feet away. are there any suggestions? my budget is around 1200$
is it true that a 720p would still give me the same picture quality as a 1080p as long as it’s under 50inches? whats the dif between 1080p and 1080i

1 year used im gonna buy this for 800 with the stand included this good deal? and i read this tv requires bulb changes, is this true? and is it worth it

Looking to buy a new low profile tv….I am leaning toward plasma….what manufactures are considered the best?

Which one should I get? It will go in our living room. I have no clue. it looks like the plasmas are the cheapest in that size range. But our living is full of light.
