i want to buy a LCD/Plasma TV of 40-50 inches. i want to spend between 50-55, 000. which is the best brand suggest me
I have a 50 inch LCD High Definition Sony Grand Wega (silver one) and now I have noticed pink marks or “stains” on the screen. I observe them when the picture shows light colors such as yellow, white, light blue, etc. Its a relatively new TV.
I was looking at HH greg today and they have a 50 inch LCD sony bravia 1080p for 2,600 and you get a 399 dollar sony blu ray player for free with the purchase.
That sound like a deal or no deal? I thought it was kind of pricey but it will be my living room tv. And the blu ray player comes free with purchase…I will be getting the warranty on this tv if i buy it so i would have to factor in how much that would be also.
I think I have read everything ever written on these two types of tvs. However I still don’t know which would be best suited for me. Price is not an object. The room that this tv will be in has a north window….the tv sits in front of the lower part of window. The room also has about 8 feet of east windows, In the morning if the sun is shining we get glare on the tv but can close the drapes. In the evening we normally have one lamp on is all. The room is approximatley 12×16 and we sit about 8 to 12 feet from the tv. We are thinking a 42 to 46 inch size. My friend has a 50 inch LCD but if you sit off to the side of the room or any place except right in front of it,,,it is difficult to see. However the room it is in is huge and open. Any help would be appreciated.
im trying to figure this out… my friend played a movie on his 50 inch LCD tv and it looked like crap. i just bought a 42inch dynex HD LCD TV, and was wondering if full screen only DVDS will look like crap. i did some investigating on why this might happen and came to 1 answer. the dvd wasnt Widescreen
I Need To Know :
is it true Full screen dvds(which only play in 4:3 ratio, which is the tube television ratio) appear to look worse on HD TV’s.
is it true Widescreen dvds are to be used with both tvs because it has a 16:9 ration and appears to be a box on a tube tv, and cover the whole screen on a LCD 42 inch HDTV
will a widescreen version of a movie cover the full screen/ not look blurry on a LCD HDTv, whereas a Full screen only dvd will appear extremely blurry on an HDTV, but not a Tube TV?
if HD TV allow to be only used with Widescreen dvds for best picture, because a full screen dvd will look blurry
Is an HDTV interchangeable to get the best picture out of a full screen and widescreen version of movie if i play with settings?
if im wrong on anything please clear ths up for me, i cant test TV out due to i need to wait for christmas to give to family. i dont want to be out 600 bucks ya know?
Z52DC2D is the Zenith and the 50 inch is Hitachi’s brand-new LCD projection…’not sure of that model number. Most people tell me the DLP is better and nobody has told me that LCD Projection is at all a better choice. No one. Are the blacks in a DLP as about deep as plasmas make them? Please vote even if you are not an expert. I am almost ready to buy the Zenith. Thanks!
I am going to buy a T.V this weekend whats should I get? A 50 inch Plasma for $1093 with sound system or 52 inch LCD Samsung for $1300. Dose a plasma really burn the pic. on to the screen?
