I’m looking to buy a 50 inch 1080p tv.

first question, does plasma have video lag like the lower lcd quality tvs? and what are the pros and cons of each. Im thinkng of buying a sanyo 50 inch plasma at wallyworld. Need alot of input so many answers the better. thanks to all

Bought a vizio flat panel tv like five years ago when they were like 1999.99!!!! My now super cool 720P… wow is out dated with the new 1080P tv’s that are thinner, better color and of course half as much now! Anyhow, I’m looking at tv’s at Sears and Bestbuy, Costco, and Walmart, and I’m trying to decide which tv brand to go with. Vizio wasn’t a bad tv… it actually is holding up like a champ and has given me little to no problems so far. I want to know what everyone thinks. I’m looking to spends 900 bucks on a tv, and want to stay in the size range of 42-50 inches. Also should I go LCD or plasma? the 720P and 1080P does make a difference to me but again I was at Sears last night and some tv’s look just as clear in 720P than some of the ones that were 1080P… Let me know where my money should go with this tv.

Does anyone have any personal experiences with LCD Flat Screen TVs? My mom is interested in getting a 50 inch and was curious how people felt about them. I am so picky about electronics and want to know if I need to stop her. Thanks so much!

What is the best HD set for picture quality, price,etc. for a 50 inch and above set. Does DLP provide the picture quality of an LCD? What are the disadvantages of a DLP,if any? Thanks for any help on these subjects.

I am doing some research on a TV. I plan on purchasing something that is 50+ inches…do I go with LCD or Plasma???

i have a 50 inch Samsung LCD tv and the screen was shot with a plastic airsoft bebe, the bebe didnt go through it but it messed up the picture. Can i possibly buy a new screen or anything like that?

So I am thinking about getting a TV for my sitting room, and I am looking at buying guide on the internet. It said I need 12 ft view distance for a 50 inches LCD, so if I need to sit that far from the TV, will I see a picture as good. Also if the resolution is the same for a 50 inches and 32 inches(like they are both 1080p), for 50 inches wouldn’t the TV stretch the pictures wider and worsen the quality of the picture.

That’s all my logical guess, if there is anything I missadressed, please feel free to correct me.
