Nah. remember that bigger is always better.
It depends, an 83 inch stand is going to be massive next to that TV, so its going to look way out of balance. That is, there will be too much negative, empty space next to both sides of the TV.
So here is what I’d do: fill it up. If you have a surround sound system, but any floor-standing speakers on the stand next to the TV instead of the ground. OR try putting some plants up next to it to give the whole scene some shape.
IF its a wooden stand, you could build shelves on teh sides and above, to make in an entertainment center.
But if you haven’t bought the stand yet, try and get something smaller. The thing behind 83 inch stands is that with that much mass, its just going to be hard to set up and hard to move. It will also dominate the room. So unless you can take the steps above I outlined and put up with this singularly massive piece of furnitire, it may fill out your room better to have a smaller stand.
you could always put your other a/v equipment on the side
83 inche stand for a 50 inch tv? Bigger is better, in most cases but not in this one.
Most stands will support a 42-50 inch plasma screen. This stands are a lot smaller and provide space for most of your components. I suggest you look at those stands.
