should I buy a LCD or a Plasma 50 inch tv?

I just bought a plasma at that size today. There is a significant price difference, LCD is much more expensive at that size. Some folks say that LCD has trouble keeping up at that size, but I’ve not seen it myself. 50 inch in my mind is the cutoff point, below that I’d probably consider LCD, above that I went with Plasma.
My supervisor at work is in charge of purchasing some of the company’s audio/visual equipment including plasma’s & LCDs…I asked him this same question and he said Plasma is the better choice…
