My wife, I, and my son have ben debating about this ever since it was delivered yesterday morning. We have heard a story from a friend with a 70 inch plasma (mind you, this was 3 or 4 years ago) where his tube broke in just 6 MONTHS!!!! Sony told him that it was because he would leave it off then turn it on, and he should leave it on standby at all times. Is that still an issue now that today, plasma tv’s work for about 10 years???????????

We shopped for the t.v. at Best Buy and we picked the one with the best picture. I know the screens are mounted on the wall there, so maybe the distance gave us the illusion that the picture was really clear? Here in our home, there are parts of the screen that look blurry and you can see the blurred pixels. It looks nice at a glance I suppose, but it sure doesn’t seem to look like the ones they have in the stores.
What gives? Is there anything I can do? I messed with the sharpness, contrast, color, etc…and that didn’t help.
